Social Media Content Creator

LAUGH OUT LOUD, the multi-platform comedy brand founded by Kevin Hart, is looking for a Social Content Creator to join our team of storytellers working to get the world laughing together. We are looking for a smart, digital-media-savvy, and hard-working creative content producer and designer who can bring an incredible ability and unique vision to help build the LOL brand on social. The right candidate for this job is a true preditor; and a conceptual, innovative social media maker who loves comedy and pop culture, and can conceive and create original content, graphics, video, photography, and multimedia to drive brand engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snap, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The right candidate for this role has experience creating content at scale for social media platforms, and is a jack-or-jill of all trades in design, video, and animation. S/he is a resourceful, self-starting storyteller with an ability to create and execute compelling content ideas and demonstrates initiative to lead on creating proactive social-first concepts designed to make the LOL social channels a content destination. This role reports to the Creative Director, with a dotted line to the Director, Social + Content Marketing, and will eventually be based out of our Los Angeles office.



Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to create original, engaging and on-brand social stories and content
  • Collaborate with in-house design and content teams, external brand partners, talent, and influencers to conceptualize and design shareable concepts and content
  • Create short form videos and write social copy for various executions across social networks, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, TikTok, YouTube etc
  • Build and export a weekly scheduled cache of assets including interactive formats such as gifs, cinemagraphs, stories, slideshows, and short videos for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, GIPHY, TikTok, etc.
  • Stay up to date on current trends in social media, comedy, entertainment, digital, and culture
  • Ideate, create, produce, and edit a steady stream of social first cross-platform short-form social content series for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn with an eye towards growth, views, and engagement
  • Utilizing data, develop insight-lead strategies for pitching video concepts and creating a platform specific playbook of best practices for the most effective formats, topics, and trends
  • Identify up-and-coming creators and influencers for partnership and collaboration opportunities
  • Assist with community management across the Laugh Out Loud social channels
  • Optimize existing video content for individual social platforms
  • Create compelling thumbnails + titles for social uploads
  • Assist the design team with graphics projects
  • Shoot and edit video content

Requirements

  • 3+ years in creating content for digital platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Degree in graphic design, multi-media arts, film, or related areas preferred
  • Visual thinker with a strong knack for creating and curating conversational, shareable content
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS Suite, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Ability to work independently, balance priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must have a strong sense of humor, high level of accountability, and passion for comedy + pop culture
  • Confident, collaborative, and communicative with an ability to keep calm under pressure

Position Summary

Laugh Out Loud is looking for a Sr. Analyst (AVOD Platform, Sales & Marketing Analytics) to join its strategy & operations team and lead analytics and reporting across its Social, AVOD/Fast Channel distribution, & ad sales initiatives for its LOL Network! division. Reporting to the company’s SVP, Finance & Operations, the ideal candidate will help to drive revenue and profit by identifying growth & optimization opportunities across LOL Network. She/he must be a detail-oriented and curious analytics expert with deep knowledge of the OTT/Streaming and advertising trends and a clear ability to track, consolidate, analyze and derive insights from large and often disparate data sets. They will work cross-functionally in a supporting capacity to teams across content distribution, sales, marketing.


RESPONSIBLITIES

    Cross-Functional Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Deliver insights and recommendations to help leadership and cross-functional (Content, Sales & Marketing) stakeholders better understand business performance, customer behavior and support strategic and tactical decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Design, deliver and automate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting; design and build visually engaging and informative dashboards that show activity across LOL’s ecosystem
  • Present analyses and findings to stakeholders; 'telling the story' and identifying drivers and opportunities of business performance.
  • Oversee selection and management of all LOL Network BI data and technology partners
  • Drive ad hoc requests with thoughtful, diligent business case analysis in coordination with cross-functional partners

Content Distribution Insights

  • Develop data strategy and infrastructure to facilitate data-informed decision-making for LOL network content Acquisition and ad sales teams
  • Develop consolidated Fast Channel/ AVOD dashboard to track KPIs (revenue, views, sessions, users, CPM, fill rate) across multiple distribution touchpoints (Peacock, PlutoTV, XUMO, etc.)
  • Track financial performance of specific titles, financial modeling of potential content acquisition deals from dozens of content partners, deep dives into specific content initiatives to identify areas of opportunity for the business.
  • Identify drivers of content performance, evaluating drivers of content viewership and audience acquisition/retention

Advertising Sales Insights & Strategy

  • Create campaign-level reporting templates
  • Develop deep dives into ad sales revenue streams of the business, including cross sectional views of performance of direct, partner and specific advertisers – focused on relevant revenue KPIs (cpm, fill, capacity).
  • Manage relationships with Ad Sales reach and analytics partner such as Tubular, Listen First & Comscore
  • Partner on the development of LOL’s ad sales positioning opportunities to our advertising clients

Marketing

  • Evaluate ROI on content marketing and user acquisition spend across all channels
  • Track marketing KPI (audience growth, engagement and monetization) across social and marketing platforms
  • Select marketing tools and technologies with the end goal of creating innovative data-driven insights at a quick pace
  • Leverage 1st and 3rd party data to mine, analyze, package and present actionable consumer insights

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 5+ years in relevant experience with analytics in tech, advertising or entertainment sectors
  • Experience in solution design and implementation for digital product measurement for web, mobile apps, OTT
  • Proven experience in driving projects from start to finish, while driving impact
  • Ability to query across multiple datasets with join and merge functions
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e Tableau) is a must

LOL is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to join our team and manage cross-functional marketing campaigns and initiatives. The right candidate will have excellent project management skills, incredible creative sensibilities and a passion for comedy and culture.


As an Account Coordinator you will work under the Sales and Branded Content team supporting all vertical client accounts. The Account Coordinator should be passionate and inquisitive about media, have an eagerness to learn and work well within a team environment, but also be able to be a self-starter. They should have a general knowledge of digital media and media planning. The Account Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team in various regards, as needed. With supervision from the VP of Integrated Marketing, the Account Coordinator manages the execution of media research, campaign trafficking, data compilation and billing. Additional responsibilities include engaging and establishing relationships with vendors and learning about the digital marketplace. Applicants must have strong communication skills and a desire to work with clients for the success of individual and team goals.


Responsibilities Include:

Support:


  • Assist the VP of Integrated Media and Salesperson in planning functions, such as staying informed of digital landscape, pre and post sales work, campaign trafficking, data compilation and billing.

Organization:

  • Maintenance of status sheets, development of meeting recaps, process trackers, campaign reports, screenshots, contacts
  • Prioritization of day to day task across brand(s) and campaigns Learn and use research tools to gather data, analyze insights, establish productive relationships with all media and external partner agencies for Sales.

Development:

  • Attend meetings and develop an understanding of the media landscape and build relationships amongst LOL’s vendor community
  • Attend training sessions/webinars to become fluent in media planning tools and platforms

  • Manage trafficking process with outside agencies/publishers

  • Ensure campaigns launch smoothly and assist with campaign status validation (screenshots, live links, 24 hour recap,etc.)

Billing:

  • With supervision of VP of Integrated Marketing and Finance Team, maintain the client billing process
  • Keep up to date tracking of served impressions that correlate with costs for auditing purposes
  • Work with Finance team to help resolve discrepancies with invoices

The Director, Social Media at LOL will be responsible for leading social strategy, managing social platform partnerships and developing ground-breaking social content and marketing campaigns for the LOL brand, its content and various partnership. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    CONTENT STRATEGY
  • Set and execute a multi-platform social strategy for LOL and that serves and supports all of the company’s divisions including: Experiential (LOL X!), Long-Form Originals (LOL Studios), its FAST Channel/AVOD network (LOL Network) and podcasts, radio & audio book initiatives (LOL Audio).
  • Build innovative social media campaigns to drive awareness of and engagement with LOL content – including library and original audio and video programming
